Olives are not just olives. They are often divided into green and black olives, but in reality they come in a multitude of different shades and sizes. On this page, we have collected our selection of green olives, and you will find both snack olives, spicy olives and olive tapenade among them.

The olives grow on the beautiful olive trees that are grown in style in large plantations in Greece. But the Greek olives can't just be picked and enjoyed straight away - just like you can with many other fruit trees. Often the green olives are watered down and then stored before they can be enjoyed as we know them.

What is the difference between green and black olives?

Despite the difference in their appearance, green and black olives are harvested from the same olive trees. The difference, however, is that the green olives are harvested somewhat earlier than the black ones. Here, then, we are talking about unripe fruits, which give a different texture and bite, because they have not developed the high amount of oil yet.
