My name is Yvon Lefeuvre. Born in 1960 in Angers on the Loire River in France, where in 1978 I received my chef training at the prestigious Michelin star restaurant "Le Vert d´Eau".
Fate then took me on a gastronomic journey to Paris and later to Denmark, where I settled in the summer of 1980. Since then, my life has been a long story, which I have documented in my book.
The purpose of the book is to share my three greatest interests: cooking, drawing and writing, brought together in a work that I want to leave as an heirloom to my relatives and to all foodies who entertain guests, friends and family.
As something unique and unconventional, I have written the book by hand in Danish. In the book, I have written down 750 recipes, made 480 drawings and given life to my memories. The entire work took me four years, during which I used the project as a form of art therapy after battling cancer in 2016, which damaged my taste buds.
Through this exciting gastronomic book of 1200 pages, I will take you into a completely new and unique food universe that has never been seen before. Come along on a culinary journey with a particular focus on the Loire Valley, and with over four decades of stories I want to spread inspiration and joy in your kitchen with recipes and anecdotes from the stove.
