Kir Yianni Naoussa Xinomavro 750ml

The popular winemaker Kir Yianni has developed this beautiful Naoussa red wine, which can simply be described as Greece's answer to Barolo. The powerful and aromatic taste of cherries, wild strawberries, wild roses and smoke, as well as undertones of licorice and pepper, is created on Xinomavro grapes from Kir Yianni's oldest parcels. Since the dawn of time, these vineyards have been equipped with drip irrigation systems, which means that they have never been exposed to stress, even though the location is one of the most rain-poor in the Greek part of Macedonia. The grapes are hand-picked and the wine is aged for a total of 16 months, finally in smaller French and American casks. The wine's characteristics are medium-bodied, distinctive and dry, and the alcohol percentage ends at 14.5%.

Kir Yiannis Naoussa is best served in the company of game, red meat, root vegetables and aromatic spices. All in all, a complex and nuanced red wine that every Barolo or Barbaresco fan must taste!
