Chorizo is a Spanish sausage that gets its characteristic red color and good taste from the delicious Spanish paprika. Chorizo is typically made from pork, and this is made from the exclusive Iberico pork, which comes from the little brown Iberico pig.
What makes Iberico pork special, besides the breed of the pig, is that they are fed acorns, either exclusively or partially. This means that the meat becomes super tasty and that it gets a fantastic marbling of fat, which further helps to heighten the taste impression!
Serve your chorizo sausage directly from the package cut into thin slices, or cut it into 2-3 cm thick slices and fry it for a few minutes in good olive oil. This way you get even more powerful flavor and juicy meat!
